My understanding from many ex-pat sources is that there’s a lack of English speaking PC support available and that it can take a long time to get anyone to look at your problem. I started working in IT operations in 1985. In 1994 I moved into PC support including set up and support of Microsoft networks, broadband set up for BT, Orange UK and others, Fujitsu desktop PC repairs.
In 2012 I moved to France and having been told by several people both in the UK and France about the difficulty in finding good computer support for English ex-pats, I started The English IT Guy. I’m now doing satellite TV, CCTV and Home Networks as well hence the name change.
